Final Project 16

C4K

In November, I was assigned to to comment on three kids blog.

My first C4K in November was Mrs. Yollis' Class Blog. Her class blog is something I really want to do with my classroom when I become a teacher. her blog was so organized and had information for the students and parents.

Then I had to watch a podcast by a third grade classroom. I was having technical difficulties and was not able to watch the podcast.

My last C4K, I was assigned to comment on Jorja's blog. Jorja wrote about a class field trip they went on to Stardome. Jorja described Stardome as really hilly and a lot of walking, but overall she had a good time.

C4T Post 2

The last and final teacher's blog I had read was The Fischbowl's To Be Honest. This blog is kept up by Mr. karl Fisch. I really like reading his blogs because he is so down to earth. He really makes you think and is honest about what he feels. To Be Honest is about teachers today are trying to shelter their students from all the negativity in life. The teachers are letting the kids believe that in the real world nothing goes wrong. However, we know that is not true. Why hide the students from the computers just because the internet has "bad stuff". The teachers should educate their kids on how to use the internet correctly.

I also read Mr. Karl's #occupytheclassroom. This post was about change in the classroom starts in the classroom. If the teacher does not change how political the school systems are, then change will never be made.

Blog Post 14

In Jose's Top Ten Tips for Using Technology in the Classroom, he talks about ten things that will keep kids more interested in class using technology. I have never heard of teachers using using music while they teach, but after thinking about it, kids love music. Incorporating iTunes into a lesson will really get the students' attention. Before taking EDM310, I would have never thought to use a blog for my students, but now, I will. Having a class blog is an easy way to keep in touch with the students outside of the classroom.

In his blog, Box of Tricks, he has a forever long list of helpful internet sites to help teachers in anyway imaginable. This list is organized from A to Z and has anything you could ever image on it. The websites he has listed can be used for the students also. He has a link to help create a graph and a link that helps create comic drawings. This blog is very different from other I have read, but just as helpful.
