The Networked Student is about a student finding all the information he needs for school online. There are no textbooks or notes to take. The student is able to listen to podcast from iTunesU from professors all over the world. With this, the student is able to learn at their own pace.
I feel like teachers will still be needed. Not all students are going to know how to navigate around the internet to find what they need. Students will still be used as guides and educators. The students still ask questions when they need help and the teachers will help.
This way of learning is interesting and schools will be using it. With this way of teaching makes the student be more independent and teaches them time management.
PLE
After watching this video of a seventh grader's PLE, I understand more about a PLE. The seventh grader is very organized and efficient with her PLE. She uses it to her best ability and it is made for her.
My PLN is still in progress and hope to be very organized and well put together like hers. After watching the video I grasp the idea a little more and I am now ready to get started on my.
